意識調査プロジェクトは村人や子供たちにS.P.K.遺跡や世界遺産についてどう思うかアンケートを取るプロジェクトです。このプロジェクトの目的は主に2つあります。1つ目は、彼らの考えを記録し続けることです。それによって、どのような考えの移り変わりがあるのか観察できます。二つ目は、プロジェクトの基礎作りになるということです。意識調査プロジェクトはこれまでのプロジェクトの中で唯一村人たちの生の気持ちを聞くことのできます。ボランティアは、相互的な形でなければボランティアたりえません。一方的な行動は極端なことをいえば、自己満足です。ボランティアは、相手を知ると同時に思いやり、何をすれば相手に喜んでもらえるだろうかと考え抜いた末に、たどり着いた結論をもとに行動することが前提です。別の言い方をすれば、ボランティアの第一歩は相手を知るということです。このことをもとに考えれば、彼らの意見を知ることのできる意識調査プロジェクトは活動全ての根幹になっているといえます。これまで意識調査プロジェクトは、村人から約500の回答を得ることができました。この結果をもとに私たちは今後も、より村人に寄り添った活動を続けていきます。

The survey of recognition is the project to record what villagers and children think about the World Heritage and S.P.K. temples. There are two purposes in this project. First purpose is to continue recording their thoughts. We can observe how their thoughts have been changing.

Another one is we can act based on the result of this project. The survey of recognition is the only project which we can listen to villagers’ opinions. Volunteer work is constituted of mutual cooperation between volunteers and villagers, so one-sided action is regarded as just self-satisfaction. The first step of volunteer work is to understand villagers. For example, who they are, what they think and what makes them happy. Based on this theory, the survey of recognition, which we can understand their opinions, is the basis of all activities. We have acquired about 500 answers until now. We will continue our activities snuggled up to villagers based on them.
